Owlcat Games has announced a new story-driven sci-fi Action RPG, called The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will be using Unreal Engine 5, looks amazing, and below you can find its debut trailer.
In The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, you play as a Pinkwater Security soldier who’s just trying to enjoy a short break on the asteroid Eros. But everything quickly goes wrong. The place gets locked down, and you get stuck in the middle of a huge and dangerous mystery that affects the entire solar system. To survive, you’ll have to think fast, stay strong, and take control of the most powerful ship in space. Get ready for a thrilling adventure full of danger, action, and surprises.
Players will be able to create and customize their own captain. You can be from Earth, Mars, or the Belt. The choice will be yours. Then, you will lead a team of skilled crew members as you face growing dangers, tough choices, and a deadly enemy that won’t give up. The devs also claim that every choice you make will matter and can change the future.
Your companions will be more than just mission assets. They are people with their own scars and loyalties. Some chase redemption. Others hide their truths. Over time, your relationships will flourish or deteriorate depending on the choices you make and how you choose to lead. The ship becomes your home, a place where trust is earned, not given.
In this game, you’ll fight in third-person using cover and special powers. Two teammates will go with you during missions, while others help from far away by shutting down systems or distracting enemies. You can give your team real-time commands and must think fast to stay alive against all the dangers you’ll face.
You’ll also visit iconic locations like Ganymede, Ceres, Mars, and Luna. You will be able to walk through ruined habitats and political strongholds mired in unease and tension. You can talk to the locals. Uncover secrets. Or use your skills to influence what happens next. The system will look different from every planet and from every asteroid. Some will be falling apart. Others will just hide it better. You may even come across a familiar face or voice that reminds you of just how small the system really is.
There is currently no ETA for when the game will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Enjoy!
