Simon the Sorcerer Origins, the prequel to the classic point-and-click adventure, is coming to PC on October 28th

In 2022, we informed you about Simon the Sorcerer Origins. Simon the Sorcerer Origins is a prequel to the classic point-and-click adventure game. And, a few days ago, ININ announced that it will be released on PC on October 28th.

In Simon the Sorcerer Origins, players will discover the Magical World in a completely hand-drawn 90s art style. The game will also have the voice of the original voice actor, Chris Barrie, who brought the character to life with humor in parts I and II.

As said, Simon the Sorcerer Origins brings the charm of the original saga back in a completely hand-drawn graphic style. The game aims to blend classic gameplay mechanics with a fresh, new world of magic.

Players will solve loads of tricky puzzles, test their wits, and face a variety of absurd situations and quirky characters. They’ll combine items and clues to unravel the big mystery and become the legendary wizard you were always meant to be.

It’s also worth noting that the game will have an original soundtrack composed by Mason Fischer. The new soundtrack aims to capture the emotional range and whimsical tone of Simon’s magical world. And as a very special surprise, Simon the Sorcerer Origins will include music icon Rick Astley in a special role, bringing a touch of 80s soul to the fantasy adventure.

Moreover, the publisher shared the game’s official PC requirements. So, let’s take a look at them. What PC system will you need to run it? Let’s find out.

PC gamers will at least need an Intel or AMD CPU that is clocked at 2,5 GHz with 8GB of RAM and an Intel HD Graphics 4400. The game will also require 5GB of free disk space. The devs recommend using a CPU that is clocked at 3Ghz, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX series GPU.

In short, you won’t need a powerful PC system to run it. With those specs, the game will run even on a toaster. This is to be expected from its art style and overall design. Still, it’s good to see such low PC specs.
